Description of the Department
The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in growing Labster’s business and help empower the next generation of scientists to change the world. The focus of this position is in developing qualified prospects for both the inside and outside sales teams by leveraging best practices for cold calls, emails, and account targeting to meet and exceed assigned goals. The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving market share and qualifying leads that build pipeline for the sales organization.
This position will be based out of our Copenhagen, Denmark office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Inside Sales Executives to develop and execute territory plans
- Prospect into assigned verticals via cold-calling, networking, e-mail/e-marketing, and utilizing Internet information sources
- Making 100+ calls per day to build and manage lead development pipeline
- Generate 25 qualified meetings per month in assigned territory
- Provide baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call
- Articulate and promote Labster’s value proposition to target contacts (Faculty, Dean, Provost, etc..) primarily in the Higher Educational Sector
- Assist with the closing and sales process of smaller value opportunities
- Qualify sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions
- Achieve or exceed goal qualified lead/meeting goals
- Update lead, opportunity, and prospect interaction in Salesforce
- Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (STEM focus is a plus!)
- 1-3 years of corporate, client-facing work experience
- 1-3 years of sales experience (may include inside sales, telesales, SDR/BDR)
- Working knowledge of Salesforce
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both in person and on the phone)
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in Italian
