The Global Director will lead the Global Learning Lab’s efforts to expand virtual and in-person learning and sharing opportunities for people across and beyond the Teach For All network.  This person will help design, coordinate, and launch learning experiences related to the Global Learning Lab’s work. This will include workshops, roundtables, online courses, and in-person courses.  In some cases, the Global Director will support team members to host and facilitate learning experiences. In other cases, the Global Director will host and facilitate them. Central to this role will be expanding and spreading the Global Learning Lab’s cross-border, collaborative online courses called Global Classroom Learning Loops. Learning loops are an innovative approach to connecting and developing local educators, coaches and program designers around the world, whereby they learn from strong classrooms through video and other classroom artifacts and from each other.


The Global Learning Lab is a remote, globally distributed team with team members located across different countries, including US, UK, Ghana and India.



  • Improve, facilitate, scale and spread virtual global classroom learning loops and their benefits across and beyond our network (50%)

    • Lead, coordinate, and improve global classroom learning loop online courses (4x per year minimum)

    • Build out a diverse, multilingual global classroom online library

    • Produce an annual report on what insights practitioners are generating in learning loops in order to inform network learning and to contribute to global efforts to reimagine education

    • Support network partners to design and deliver local classroom learning loops to improve program and network learning about creating transformational progress in classrooms around the world

      1. Set a vision for how to support partners to lead locally-rooted, globally informed learning loops in collaboration with program regional specialists and partners

      2. Create (and co-create) resources and learning experiences to support partners’ efforts

      3. Provide direct support of partners and partner-to-partner learning to spread local and regional classroom learning loops


  • In collaboration with colleagues, design and implement learning experiences (e.g., roundtables, workshops, online courses, etc.) providing program-to-program learning for thousands of network members and allies to advance classroom-level and program-level progress (30%)

    • Build relationships with Teach For All colleagues, partner organizations and external organizations and experts to inform the learning experiences that are offered

    • Create scope and sequence of learning experiences with the Global Learning Lab, in partnership with Participant & Alumni Impact team

    • Coordinate with other teams at Teach For All to maximize the quality and value of offerings

    • Manage and coordinate the implementation of that scope and sequence

    • Facilitate some learning experiences; support colleagues to facilitate others

    • Monitor, track and reflect on the success of learning experiences, and use that information to improve offerings


  • Spread learning rituals across and beyond the Teach For All network (20%)

    • Create resources to improve organizational learning cultures in collaboration with colleagues and teams

    • Design and deliver self-guided learning modules and other resources to grow the understanding of our network audience about the drivers of organizational learning

    • Design and deliver experiences to build the capability of learning organizations across our network

    • Compile best practice tools and resources from within and beyond the network that can support the learning and development of local leaders to nurture learning organizations

  • Lead a small number of strategic external engagements and partnerships to increase visibility of the network and the Lab’s approach to learning, advocating for a sector-wide transformation of how adults learn

  • Regularly present approach and findings at internal and external conferences




  • Strong design and facilitation skills to create powerful, high impact, collaborative adult learning experiences

  • Expertise in the design and delivery of high impact virtual/online learning experiences

  • Deep knowledge of learning theory and best practices in developing people

  • A critically conscious mindset with a strong belief in culturally sustaining, community-led approaches to social justice work

  • A proven record of envisioning, organizing, and executing on complex, dynamic projects with a high level of success and organization

  • An ability to work entrepreneurially, creatively, and collaboratively across multiple cultures and time zones

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with an ability to work effectively, flexibly, and nimbly as member of a diverse team

  • Experience designing and delivering learning for a diverse global audience

  • Experience working in education or social sectors

  • Proficiency in at least one language other than English, preferably Spanish, French and/or Arabic

  • Experience and knowledge in culturally sustaining pedagogy and/or issues relating to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness in education
