  • Develop relationships within existing accounts and new divisions, locations, and customers to establish and extend the adoption of the MathWorks development platform
  • Generate new named business by phone, customer visits, and events
  • Expand MathWorks market presence and reputation within the territory
  • Attain monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals for new software licenses, maintenance service, and professional services (consulting and product training)
  • Rigorously prioritize and follow up on all qualified leads provided by Marketing or Sales Support; energetically prospect for new business opportunities within a defined set of named accounts
  • Work closely with potential customers at all levels to understand users requirements, and management business issues and goals
  • Gain access to and influence the appropriate decision makers to manage any evaluation processes and bring business opportunities to a successful conclusion
  • Present appropriate technical and business value propositions using consultative and insight selling approaches
  • Develop and manage a funnel of opportunities and activities
  • Leverage cross-functional teams to develop and implement territory and account-specific strategies
  • Collaborate closely with local and international colleagues (Sales, Application Engineering and Technical Marketing)
  • Document and report sales activities using an advanced CRM tool (Salesforce)
  • Prepare required sales documentation (e.g., trip reports, proposals, and territory plans

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional work experience is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • University Degree and proven experience in technical software sales required
  • Demonstrated success managing a territory and using a CRM system
  • Proven success in developing new markets and delivering new business
  • Experience working with application engineers and sales support resources
  • Self-driven personality with a high energy level
  • Experience balancing volume and strategic sales
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Modern Standard Arabic language skills: spoken and written
  • Familiarity with the business culture in the Middle East and North Africa is required
