Position Purpose & Summary
This position is responsible for growth of commercial activities in META for specific product line. The incumbent is responsible from Product Line Strategy Development & P&L in META, using S&D data, competitor profiles, IBP tools, capacity allocations from the mother BU’s, strategic pricing models/tools and provide targets to sales teams on the ground in alignment with FIBI BUs.
The incumbent is accountable for optimal market penetration and share, budgets and added realization in META. Provide 3-5 years targets to sales in alignment with exporting FIBI BU and accountable for margin differentiation per category /region (strategic pricing).
Represent project management skills to execute base/non-base projects to achieve Product Line Growth Strategy.
Establish the value proposition for the Product Line basis insights from sales teams and execute the required marketing activities by the help of Marketing Communications.
Feed the sales teams with pricing strategy, strong collaboration with the Raw Material Procurement team to follow the markets and decide on pricing accordingly.
The incumbent is responsible to create alignment within the Global Product Line Group, and maximize Cargill’s overall income by optimizing the Cargill global assets.
30% Product Line Strategy: Develop a growth strategy for the PL in META. Coordinate the relevant stakeholders, establish the database, use strategy building tools, and come up with propositions. Build up thorough SND process per country /region.
20% Strategic Pricing: Optimize value addition META specific, over the entire FIBI value chain. Analyze the profitability of the product portfolio per category/region as applicable and impact on sales strategy. Create the link between Raw Material Procurement and Sales Teams.
20% Mid/Long Term Capacity Planning: Analyze and optimize the current capacity constraints to achieve maximum value. Make choices to promote or de-list SKUs basis profitability. Integrate fully to IBP process.
10% Competitor analysis in META region: lead the process of information gathering to fully comprehend competitor’s pricing.
10% Lead the budget process and actively support the customer segmentation process.
Margin and volume targets: Set volume objectives for product portfolio in alignment with exporting FIBI BU. Close contact with related FIBI PLMs is key. Manage budget allocation vs. sales over the year and take active leadership to achieve this / accountability would be joined with sales.
10% Coordination between the functions including sales, marketing where applicable, business development, technology, supply chain (exporting FIBI BU) and active support to sales team in visits and product training.
University Degree in Business Administration and/or Sales and Marketing
5-10 years of B2B Commercial or agricultural commodity trading
Preferred In depth knowledge of B to B and food business (plants, customers, processes, products)
Minimum 5 years in a commercial / sales leadership position
Fluency in English
Strong Stakeholder Management
Ability to gather thorough market , customer , competitor information
Sales experience and customer relationship/market intelligence building is must
Proven communication and relationship building skills
Entrepreneur, innovative. Ability to create new ways of thinking and taking action
Arabic/French language skills is an asset
