Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the end-customers and operational managers, with the associated country regional support functions (Sales, Credit Analysts, Internal Control)
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the Accounts Payable, Customer Service and Pricing departments, plus the BPO led Cash Application department to ensure common customers claims and disputes are being resolved
  • Reaching out to the end-customers in order to collect payment for overdue invoices, deductions proven as invalid or other debts
  • Analyzing data or information of the portfolio of end-customers, identifying the root causes of debts and open credits, implementing plans of solutions
  • Providing support regarding collections issues, resolving discrepancies and short payments
  • Monitoring, maintaining and reconciling assigned accounts in the portfolio, proposing write-offs, focusing on maintaining low balance of debts
  • Following-up effectively on customer claims and issues, resolving them in a timely manner
  • Working with the available systems, using the software and applications for the daily work
  • Telephone and e-mail interaction with external customers to reduce delinquency and offering support in providing financial data analysis of the accounts
  • Obtaining customer’s confirmation of payment/promise to pay, and ensuring on-time payment receipt
  • Delivering the defined department goals and activity KPI metrics
  • Reporting financial data in terms of: customers who exceed the credit limit, with unearned cash discounts, top past due invoices contributors and aged debts
  • Managing escalations from the client and country regional functions
  • Engaging efforts of Sales and Credit Analysts when necessary to accelerate the collections process
  • Establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with Sales, regional functions, OTC peers and supervisors
  • Daily releasing blocked customer orders within the accepted limit agreed, and delegating the authority to the Credit Analyst when needed
  • Acting as a liasion between the end-customer and other OTC departments, sharing the obtained documentation for: disputes, unallocated payments and other claims
  • Participating in conference calls with country regional functions and Credit Analysts, establishing plans of actions for deliqeunt customers

Requirements:

  • Customer relationship management skills
  • Experience in Collections or related processes
  • Excellent communication skills, CEF-B2/C1 level foreign language proficiency
  • Problem solving and analytical decision making skills
  • ERP working knowledge, ideally SAP
  • 2-5 years of experience in relevant field
  • Degree, ideally related to accounting and finance, would be an asset
  • Fluent English and Spanish are essential
