Is group reporting your strength and do you see yourself as part of a dynamic international business? Then you might be the Group reporting Specialist we are looking for in order to strengthen our Finance and Accounting Department

In this role, the Group Reporting Specialist will be responsible for the overall internal and external corporate reporting functions, ensuring the basics for internal and external reporting to the parent company. In addition will the Group Reporting Specialist also hold the responsibility to ensure compliance related to Sarbanes-Oxley Act´s (SOX) requirements, as well as statutory and tax requirements

Some of the things you will be doing

  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Teekay Offshore Production (TOP) Management System
  • Responsible for the quarterly consolidation process for TOP, including Purchase Price Adjustments and variance analysis
  • Implementation of changes to US GAAP for Teekay Offshore Production (TOP)
  • Research and apply US GAAP to accounting transactions for TOP in close cooperation with Corporate Finance & Accounting (F&A)
  • Oversee external audit process for TOP in collaboration with the Group Accounting Manager
  • Accounting standards & policies support to TOP Finance & Accounting (TOP F&A) team
  • Further develop and quality ensure internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting in accordance with the requirements of Teekay’s Internal Audit team and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
  • Resolve and bring to the attention of Vice President F&A and Group Accounting Manger any financial reporting issues
  • Prepare and submit statistics to Statistics Norway and Office for National Statistics United Kingdom
  • Prepare statutory accounts and tax reporting for the legal entities in collaboration with the Group Accounting Manager
  • Assist and challenge tax team as needed
  • Involvement in other projects when required

What we are looking for

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher within Accounting/or Finance and have a minimum 5+ years of demonstrated progression in financial reporting and analysis
  • Advanced analytical and information gathering skills with a strong ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive detailed data
  • Prior experience in successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and achieving solutions under deadlines
  • Previous exposure to US GAAP will be a positive add on
  • Strong analytical skills with an expert level of proficiency with Excel, Word and other financial reporting tools
  • Interested in technology and use of technology to improve reporting and processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English with a strong and proactive business acumen
  • Prior experience successfully managing multiple requests, assessing priorities and achieving solutions under deadlines
