Seeking all problem solvers….
You come to the office in the morning, a vet calls YOU. He’s about to do a surgery on Fluffy the cat and needs to do preanesthetic testing on the patient. The analyzer (equipment) measuring the time of coagulation, isn’t responding as expected! What are you going to do? You need to investigate!
Technical Product Support at IDEXX requires a curious mind. It’s not just about troubleshooting biotech equipment (hematology & biochemistry), although you will do that too. We want you to think with our customers. You will also be highly engaged in customer education & training, giving veterinarians an understanding of WHY they should use certain products and HOW they can best work with them. There’s routine in the role (like in any), but there is much more beyond that. Your customers will challenge you and you will need to remain cool under pressure and with your inspiration, or the assistance of your peers, you will always find a solution.
Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need to meet a few mandatory criteria. You are customer oriented and you speak fluent English on a native level or business fluency. You will need to understand how the world of biotech equipment works. You could also be a bit techy – it will help.
You will need to demonstrate high quality inter-personal skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and excellent phone skills with ability to establish rapport. You will be working in a fast-paced business environment. Therefore, we would like to see your ability, willingness and motivation to learn new industry changes based on new science or discoveries, be adaptive to change and be able to follow processes. Finally, we look for a level of maturity & flexibility which can manage this work load and empathic people with a sense of humor.
