TheDarunsikkhalaiSchoolfor Innovative Learning (DSIL) is a non-profit, bilingual (English-Thai) grades 1-12 school, located in a main campus of, a state-owned university, King Mongkut’sUniversity of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT),Bangkok.

The DSIL set out to show that a school which recognizes the dignity of each individual child by allowing him/her to choose subjects of study, and which places a special emphasis on technology, English, morality, personal development, and Buddhist mindfulness meditation will ultimately help create quality citizens who are life-long learners, economically competitive, globally-oriented, and peaceful.

DSIL offers 2 levels, the lower school (grades 1 to 6) and the upper school (grades 7-12). English is being taught into 2 parts. The first part, English is integrated into a project-based class which the students can naturally learn English while conducting the project. The second part, all students have to typically attend 3 hrs/week for English classes. The lower school level students mainly learn about conversations, phonics, basic reading and writing skills. For the upper school level students, the teachers will basically prepare the students to meet those standardized tests such as TOEFL and IELTS.
